Leads the marketing and operational efforts of the Proviso Community Bank which offers a full range of banking services to current and potential customers. Develops bank business by acquiring and developing client relationships; providing bank services; ensuring compliance with bank policies and government regulations.  Responsible for the management and coaching of branch staff on the sales process and accountable for the achievement of established individual and branch sales goals.  Manages a team of personal bankers and tellers.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible & accountable for sustaining the Bank’s reputation as an ethical, responsible and integral member of the community.
  • Responsible and accountable for the financial growth, performance and profitability of the branch.
  • Responsible and accountable for the day to day operation of branch. Maintain proficiency in front line processes in order to assist and provide back-up to bankers/tellers as needed. 
  • Manages, coaches and develops retail staff with focus on operations, sales and consistently delivering superior quality customer service.
  • Grows deposit relations with individual, government, and businesses within the Proviso area.
  • Solicits small business loans throughout the branch’s service area with specific focus on moderate income tracts of Proviso township; refers small business opportunities to the appropriate HBT lending team.
  • Solicits multifamily and other commercial real estate mortgages, with specific focus on moderate income tracts within the Proviso area; referring opportunities to HBT’s commercial real estate team.
  • Solicit 1-4 family residential loans throughout the market with specific emphasis on Proviso area, refers to Wintrust Mortgage.
  • Refers community development loans throughout the Proviso area, with specific focus on moderate income tracts, to HBT’s CRE lending team. 
  • Represent the company in community/economic development activities and initiatives.  Also responsible for ensuring company visibility in all aspects of the community, establishing and maintaining relationships with other organizations in the community to meet and not duplicate needs and services.
  • Proactively identify marketing needs in branch footprint to maintain competitive position of the bank.  Work with Hinsdale and Wintrust marketing to develop necessary materials and methods of distribution.  
  • Ensures compliance with bank policies and government regulations by maintaining files, following internal audit, loan review, branch operations, and collection procedures.   Adhere to operational controls including legal, corporate and regulatory procedures to ensure safety and security of customer and bank assets.  
  • Qualify for, register and maintain mortgage lending originator (MLO) status with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing system and Registry (NMLS) according to the SAFE Act.  Perform MLO activities in accordance with SAFE Act.
  • Responsible and accountable, through Chief Operations Officer, for facilities management.
  • Various other tasks as assigned

Education/Learning Experience: Requires a bachelor’s degree, preferably in business administration or High School Diploma and equivalent work experience.Bilingual (English & Spanish) is preferred.
Work Experience:  3-5 years of experience in the field.  Must have a proven ability to successfully engage in business development and customer relations activities.
Work Environment: Retail/Office Environment.  Some local business travel required.

With supervision, generates new commercial real estate banking relationships; seeks out community development lending opportunities as defined by the Community Reinvestment Act; maintains a high level of customer service with existing commercial relationships; identifies potential loss issues and interacts with bank staff, customers, prospects and the community in a professional and respectable manner.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Actively manages customer relationships with an emphasis on direct communication with borrower/guarantor/decision maker. 
  • Creates new commercial relationships by cold calling, following up on internal referrals, and networking to obtain external referrals.
  • Seeks community development lending opportunities throughout the Bank’s CRA assessment area with specific emphasis on moderate income census tracts. 
  • Refers community development lending opportunities that are not CRE to the appropriate HBT lending team.
  • Actively manages customer relationships to ensure continued and increased revenue generation
  • Generates income through loan originations, deposit generation and fees from new customer relationships.
  • Manages various product types, including construction loans
  • Collects and analyzes information regarding the status and credit worthiness of current loans, with special on site visits and first hand analysis of construction progress where applicable.
  • With supervision and feedback, establish and negotiate the terms under which credit will be extended, including the costs, repayment method, and schedule and collateral requirements.
  • Cross sell Bank services and products.
  • Refers SBA 504 lending opportunities to the appropriate Wintrust lending team.
  • Professionally works with co-workers to attain all goals and objectives.
  • Various other tasks as assigned.

Education/Learning Experience:  Bachelors Degree in Business or related discipline, continuing education desired.

Work Experience:   Minimum of 2 years of commercial banking sales and relationship management experience preferred.


  • Proven business development skills.
  • Proven credit skills.
  • Knowledge of loan underwriting with general knowledge of finance, real estate and business law.

Work Environment:  Office Environment; Customers’ Office & Job Site. Some travel to project sites, between branches, and customer offices.  Must be capable of conducting periodic but extensive on site property inspections.

Floating Teller – Full-time
Basic Function:
Provides friendly, accurate, and efficient customer service.  Processes a variety of routine financial transactions including check cashing, withdrawals, deposits, and loan payments. Maintains appropriate level of cash on hand. Prepares daily paperwork according to branch procedures. Responsible for managing and balancing cash drawer. Will allow optimum staffing levels by traveling to various branches as needed.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Promote and maintain positive relations with all customers and co-workers.
  • Project a positive image of the bank through a neat appearance and professional manner.
  • Operate a teller drawer to serve customers and/or bank personnel by:
  • Accept commercial and consumer deposits, verify cash and endorsements, and process transactions in the computer.
  • Identify customers vs. non-customers and follow the check cashing policies.
  • Provide additional customer services including cashiers checks, money orders, traveler’s cheques, savings bonds, license stickers, stamps, etc.
  • Balance cash drawer daily and follow teller difference policy.
  • Comply with all department, bank, and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Perform as a team member in allocating and coordinating workflow.
  • Recognize potential cross-sell opportunities and direct customers to appropriate bank personnel.
  • Contribute to the fulfillment of department and bank objectives and goals.
  • May be responsible for bank opening/closing.
  • May assist with training new employees and answering co-workers questions.
  • All other duties as assigned.


Education/Learning Experience:
High School Diploma or Equivalent

Physical Requirements:
  • Able to stand for long periods of time

Work Environment:

  • Must have open availability to work:   Monday –  Friday 7am-6pm and 8am-2pm on Saturdays;
